Finding Medical Jobs on Monster.com

Monster.com is the world’s first online job search website. It started out in the beginning days of the internet, when loading a webpage took minutes instead of fractions of a second. Over the years, it has built an incredibly strong international brand.
Monster.com is completely free for job seekers to use. There are two main ways you can use Monster: By looking at the job listings and applying for jobs that interest you, or by posting your own resume and profile and for prospective employers to find you.

Here’s how to use Monster.com

Step 1: Enter Your Search Term

Enter a search term for the job you’re looking for. You can search by either job title or by skills/keywords. Make sure to also enter a location.

Step 2: Narrow the Search, be specific

Upon hitting “Search,” you’ll be presented with an array of different results. You can narrow down the results by only checking the boxes next to the categories you want to see.

Step 3: Choose a Job

Select a job from one of the search results.

Step 4: Apply for the Job

Read through the job description to see if it’s a job you’d be interested in. If it is, click the “Apply” button.
The application process can either happen on Monster.com or it can happen on the employer’s website. Go through the web application process to submit your resume and optionally your cover letter.

To search jobs and apply for jobs, you don’t need to sign up for a Monster account. However, to post your own resume or to create a profile that employers can search, you do need an account.

Step 5: Create an Account at Monster

Under “Resume,” click “Post a Resume.”

Click the “Become a Member” button to create an account.

Follow the on screen instructions to finish the account signup process.

Step 6: Uploading or Creating a Resume on Monster

There are several different ways for adding a resume to Monster.com. You can create a new resume in the Monster interface, you can upload your existing resume or you can copy and paste your resume.
Select how you want to add your resume from the drop down menu.

If you want to upload a file, all you need to do is select the file on your computer and Monster will do the rest. Copying and pasting is self-explanatory as well; you just copy and paste your resume into the Monster interface.
If you want to create a new resume, you’ll be taken to Monster’s proprietary resume builder. There you can add jobs, languages, skills, experiences and any other relevant information.

Step 7: Create Your Profile

To create a profile, go to “Profile” under the “My Profile” navigation tab.

Click any area to change or add information. Make your profile as complete as possible and put your best foot forward for prospective employers.
